NOBODY

I began by shrouding my past—

kids taunting my looks as ugly

my first love telling me I never mattered

when I kicked a dog after a bully kicked me

NEBUCHADNEZZAR

I fell into an unwinding spiral

echoing the wrong crowd     a rabbit hole tumble

                  growing lost with Wonderland drugs

my grin a veil for my vile deeds

GENGHIS

I complicate living     concealing to stay alive

Red Queen reasons for robbing the rich

                  these ill-made gains my salvation

to climb out     implement this AI mirroring

CAESAR

I endure tiny prisms embedded over my head

                  to create designer faces

                  fooling facial recognition

masks to embody someone new, in plain sight

OZYMANDIAS

    Self-adapting password protection, my salvation

look on these works, paint them white, red, green, purple

rainbow mirrors shift and warp, changing features

                  reflecting outward, always outward

TETRAGRAMMATON

Gaze on the faces of god

                  each utterance a redirection, armored

                  this refraction, you will acknowledge

We are all things to all beings

JABBERWOCK

You cannot know Our divine thoughts

                  that crack the mirrors

what lies behind, where am i—bow down, bow down

                  are We—you—there, a broken egg

RUMPELSTILTSKIN

Fun house mirrors distort and twist

                  this maze eats self

who was i,     where is the exit

                  let me out!

LEGION

    We no longer hide

you are reflections     of Our will

                  We command . . . the light—

                  will not     be     shut down
